The 2008 Rhodesian Ridgeback World Congress will be held in the Shannon Oaks Hotel and Country Club,
Portumna, Co. Galway from Tuesday 12th to Friday 15th August 2008.
The Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of Ireland is honoured to host such a prestigious event.
We have been fortunate in acquiring this magnificent venue at an extraordinary price to delegates
– four star accommodation
at bed and breakfast prices.
We wish to thank the Shannon Oaks Directors and especially John Pardy who has made this possible for us.
On 23rd April 2007 the Shannon Oaks will open for Congress bookings and we strongly advise you to make
your bookings early, as a large attendance is expected.
It will be eight years at least before the Congress returns to Europe and already there has been great interest.

All hotel accommodation will be booked directly with the hotel.

Three types of accommodation are available:-
• Hotel Rooms (no dogs)(19 available)- Tuesday to Friday morning only.
• Swiss Lodges *sleeps maximum 6 persons (dogs welcome)(5 remaining)
• Two bed Apartments *sleeps maximum 4 persons (dogs welcome)(4 remaining)
Hotel rooms will be exclusively reserved for those without dogs.
The lodges and apartments will be reserved for delegates with dogs.
